نُشر في فيسبوك في ٨ مارس ٢٠١٣ أثناء زيارتي لمدينة بولونيا بإيطاليا الشهر الماضي كان أول مكان أقصده مسرح التشريح الشهير الذي يعود تاريخ بنائه لعام ١٦٣٦. وكان هناك مسرح أقدم بني قبلها بأربعين عاما، ولكن بعد تجميع مباني جامعة بولونيا، التي يعود تاريخ إنشائها إلى عام ١٠٨٨ (!!)، في مبنى واحد تقرر إعادة بناء مشرح التشريح التابع لكلية الطب في المبنى الجديد للجامعة. هذا المسرح يعتبر تحفة معمارية ذات أهمية تاريخية قصوى، وكنت قد تتبعت تاريخه أثناء دراستي لتاريخ الطب في أوروبا وفي العالم الإسلامي. أما عن أهميته المعمارية فترجع لأسباب عديدة منها، مثلا، أنه مغلف تماما من الداخل بخشب التنوب.…

Posted on Facebook on March 3, 2013 Yesterday, I visited an exhibit held in Milan commemorating the 1700th anniversary of the Edict of Milan. Named “Constantino, 313 d.C” and held at the Palazzo Reale in Milan, it is truly an amazing exhibit. The curators have amassed together an incredible amount of artifacts from more than 100 museums, most of them from Italy, it is true, but there are also very precious pieces sent from France, Britain, Germany, Austria, Serbia and the US. Leave a Commentنُشر في فيسبوك في ٢٣ فبراير ٢٠١٣ في يوم الثلاثاء الماضي، 19 فبراير، عُقدت ندوة في مقر دار ميريت للنشر لمناقشة المشاكل التي يتعرض لها المترجمون في مصر، تلك المشاكل التي فجرتها واقعتان حديثتنان، الأولى هي ظهور الترجمة العربية لكتاب جوزيف مسعد، اشتهاء العرب، وبها تقديم من المؤلف يثني فيها على المترجم ولكن يصف ترجمته بـأنها “ترجمة أولية” استدعت التدخل بالتعديل والتنقيح والمراجعة على يد المؤلف نفسه ويد صديق له. المترجم الأصلي، إيهاب عبد اللطيف، اعتبر ذلك تقليلا من الجهد الجبار الذي بذله طوال عام كامل استغرقه في ترجمة الكتاب ومراجعة الترجمة مع المؤلف. والسؤال الذي كان مطروحا في الندوة هو:…
